Use a SMTP server with custom port and TLS

Hi, I need to setup the registration so that it uses
a smtp server on a custom port (instead of the usual 25) and
with TLS autentication (or SSL).

Anyone knows how to do that?

I have set everything up(I think). Aftaer a person registers the page turns white? The login name does go to Admin page correctly though. Any suggetions.

My call to the register.php does not properly execute as the page shows the code instead of the register page. Below is a sample.

Server Load?

We've been using CGI Form Manager for a number of years and honestly it's been one of our most useful tools.

We plan on hosting an RSVP form for a pretty big event and was wondering if I should have any concerns about the server load when the initial invitations go out. While the total number of expected RSVPs isn't that high, the first day will probably see a lot of traffic.

Is there anyway that I can predict the load or how it will handle it? Any tips in keeping things simple to prevent any problems?

It would be intuitive, and useful, if the following action was implemented:

A: SELECT Field Name from the drop-down list

B: Click on the "LIST ALL" button.

C: The Display lists the Database contents SORTED by the selection made in step "A"

Membership Type Message

I have set up a Membership Type along with the PayPal code and after I save it I get the following message in red:

"Click Edit on your PayPal Membership Type to Add Purchase / Subscription Code"

Can anyone suggest what this means? How do I access the PayPal Membership Type it refers to. If I click the edit link (under Membership Options) associated with the Membership Type I just created I am taken back to the screen I just came from. But I can't see what to do.

Account, subscription, upgrade terminology confusion

Hello all, I am new to Member Manager and am having trouble getting my head around the terminology. If anyone can set me straight I would really appreciate it.

My situation is that I have one User Group and one Subscription for that group. The period of the subscription is 365days, after which members would need to renew their subscription.

1. In PayPal do I create a Buy Now button, or a Subscription button?
2. When Member Manager refers to an 'Upgrade', what does that apply to - user accounts or subscriptions?
3. What is an 'Upgrade'? Is it a subscription renewal, or is it and upgrade to a higher level of subscription (which I don't have as I only have one subscription).
4. When is access removed for a Member - when their account expires or their subscription?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thankyou.

Cant Seem To Find _Session Variables

I'm a newbie, and so far I've been able to put a login panel on my home page, and esatblish a protected folder that login lands on. But now I'm testing my ability to display session variables once I have landed there.

$username = $_Session[mm_name];

echo 'Welcome ';
echo $username;
?>

...this isn't working. Please advise.

Link to forms fails W3C Validation

Unfortunately, if your site is coded to reach modern xhtml stict or traditional standards then it fails validation due to the way the Forms PHP software codes links to the forms. Something to do with amphersands and 'begin' in the link to a form(although the begin and other faults could be because the amphersand fails first).
Here is the WC3s response to the failure giving help on how to overcome PHP coding to achieve validation but I am afraid I am totally lost by it. Can anyone else understand this and perhaps offer a solution.

WordPress Integration

The previous thread on WordPress Integration ended without much in the way of explanation, so I'll start a new one. Hope this topic will prove of interest to other developers...

I've built a site around an existing PHP Membership Manager implementation and now find that the client wants to restrict some WP content (Posts) and some links/folders except to users logged into MM2. That is, I want to share the MM2 logon credentials with WordPress.

There was reference in the other WP integration thread to session variables created during MM2 logon. Where can I find these variable names? Would I access these a using query to the database or reference them directly? I expect I'll try to implement the Wordpress login 'under the covers' using these session variables.

Alternate approaches would be appreciated - thanks in advance for any help you'd care to offer.

Change Membership Type from List Box to Text Box

Hi there,
I'm also new to this, so please accept my humble apologies for my ignorance.

On the Registration page, is there a way to change the Selection Box for Membership types so that it is an empty text box instead, and the user must input the Membership Type him/her-self. Their input will be validated against the Membership types created in admin.

What I'm after is that registrants can't see what Membership types exist.

They will first have received a separate email from us telling them they have been assigned a particular Membership (alpha-numeric value, say) , and they would have to type in this membership 'value' into the field. If entered correctly, their Reg application will be sent to the Approval queue.

The goal is to see their Registration Data in the Approval section, with the Membership type they entered already checked off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated (Did I mention I'm new??)

You've uploaded your PHP page, and went to view it. Instead of seeing what you expected you see nothing. A blank screen (often white), no data, no error, no title, nothing. You view the source.... it's blank. What happened?
