I have just spent about 25 mins typing my yearly newsletter.
I then clicked on "send test email" and i was given the admin login page again, so logged in (again?) and was given my list of members.

No email was sent and when i went bcak to see if my newsletter was there, it wasn't.
I tried to reload last email, but got the previous one. so now have to start all over again Sad

was this due to a session timeout and is there any way of setting it to a longer time, i am a slow typist Smile
The session time is a php.ini setting. Believe the default is 15 minutes.

What you could have done though You may not have been aware was after clicking submit in the
admin area when creating the e-mail template and it forced you to re-login. Login then use your browsers
back button and it will ask you if you want to re-post the data [yes].
would this timeout also have anything to do with why, when sending bulk emails (message all members), i still get a page that says "cannot display this page 404)
i have about 3,000 members. i can only send under 200 an hour, so at a rate of 180 an hour, it takes just over 16 hours to complete.
So i set it early evening, go to bed, wake up and check screen.
And thats the message i get ??
Internet connection possibly go down? If you re-load the page it should have re-started?
i cannot sya if that was the case, the connection was stioll live when i came back to the screen. ill remember that for next time Smile
Right - It could be possible that it went down for a second, minute, etc when it went to refresh. We have screens that auto refresh as well and over night if a connection goes down while it tries to reload it will give that error and be there in the morning as once it gets to a page can not load screen it stops trying to re-load.
