Greetings All,

We have released version 2.2 of PHP Membership Manager. We have received quite a bit of feature requests as of late but first wanted to get this version out with a few important changes before we dive into the next set of feature enhancements.

Version 2.2:

• ADDED: New mod_rewrite method for protecting an entire folders documents. Cleaner, easier to implement and faster.
• ADDED: Added ability to set / change a users expiration date for individual sub / user groups.
• ADDED: Changed how PayPal.com buy/subscriptions are handled. Registrations now go through the register.php program and a paypal make payment page is displayed after registration.. Account is held in the Pending Payments area until payment is made.
• PayPal.com added to the admin back-end --> membership types --> gateway drop down. PayPal buy now / subscription code is added within the back-end.
  

Previously register.php was not used and a customer would start the
process by clicking on a paypal button on a page of the web site.

UPGRADE STEPS:
-------------------------------------------

(1) Make a backup of your installation folder before making changes

(1b) You should always backup your MySQL database as well.

** WORKING WITH YOUR BACKUP FOLDER NOW:
***************************************

(2) Upload all v2.2 files from the zip EXCEPT folders:

/configs/
/interface/

NOTE: You may skip the large sub folders within the /libs/ folder

(3) From v2.2 zip files upload:

/configs/admin_config.php
/interface/user_upgrade.php
/interface/processor/make_paypal_payment.php
/interface/processor/make_paypal_upgrade_payment.php

(4) Now run: /upgrade/index.php

Your database should be updated successfully.

(5) Access your PHP MM admin program and you should be all set.

(6) You may need to alter / make changes to the reset file:

/interface/user_upgrade.php

it sounds really great . . . i am gonna try it out .

I think it was hard time that PHP membership manager came up with a change because if we look in closely the features are a bit old fashioned when made a comparison with other similar software’s. Anyway, I am glad that you made up the basic adjustments now. PayPal subscription mode change was really beneficial as many users are now using PayPal as their basic mode of payment from what I have seen. I am really looking forward for more updates in the future!
