ok, i have done that and ddint get any problem via the admin section.
then i looked to see if anyone had registeresed in the last hour, 2 ppl had, so i looked to see if they had vailadted and they have. so they must be getting both emails from my site?
Yeah seems to be so. I'll keep thinking but have not seen this problem. Seems to have come up out of the blue.

no, nothing has changed for about a week, the last change i did to the email templates was the "account about to expire" email.
I told them (in the email) to reply to the email with "RENEW" in the subject line if they want to renew, and have had lots of emails back from it with the word RENEW as the subject.
i have just noticed a field called "mm_users_gws_bad_import"
it has 2205 entries, is this relevant ?
Just old data from your attempt to originally move the 1.x data to the 2.x database. Not needed.
LOL, now i see it in the table name, ill delete it
update, afer messaging the hosts and them trying it, suddenly, it seems to be OK now.
i have reset the date a cpl of times and have logged in again, but all seems ok now.
will see what happens tomorrow

logged in this morning and no problems, so all is well, my question to my hosts asking if they had changed anything seems to have been missed
