Full Version: Allowing Multiple Votes

We're using Poll It to conduct balloting for the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame, and I'm wondering if there is a way to adapt the script to allow voters to select more than one candidate when voting.

For example, there are about 130 nominees on the printed (paper) ballot, and we allow voters to select ten candidates.

We'd like to allow online voters the chance to vote for ten candidates at once as well. Is there a way to change the radio button method to check boxes, and to restrict voting to ten or less choices per vote?

The "ballot" is currently online at:

http://www.sfradiomuseum.com/cgi-bin/pol..._v2.05.cgi

I will say this: of all the options I looked at, Poll It has more features, was easier to install, and has run perfectly so far -- and it's tabulating the votes automatically, which is an excellent bonus. I've been very pleased with it.

Thanks in advance,

DJ
Hi DJ,

Good to hear Poll It is working well for you.

It does not have the option to do multiple selections per
poll.

Survey Manager does at:

http://www.cgi-world.com/survey_manager.html

Though we would need to do mods to support the options
/ answers needed as it currently supports 15 question &
answers.

Are you using the SSI feature or no as Survey Manager does
not use SSI - it creates its own survey pages.

Jason,

Thanks for your reply. We are using both the SSI and non-SSI options with Poll It on different pages.

I'll give Survey Manager a look and see if it might work for us.
